Whether it was more reps, a chance to get backups valuable experience, having fun, avoiding injury, or a mix of all of the above, Thursday’s Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic Kickoff Classic at Central allowed for six high school teams and coaches to check several boxes a week away from the regular season.
Fulton faced Karns in the first quarter Thursday; Gibbs took on Central in the second quarter; and Carter matched up against Halls in the third quarter.
Eight more schools will take part in Night 2 of the Kickoff Classic on Friday at Farragut.
