SEYMOUR — Somewhere amongst the mass of blue jerseys in an end zone at Gary Householder Field, Caleb Olive finally emerged from the gathering of players shouting his name Thursday night.
The 30-year-old Seymour head coach then stood to the side and watched with a smile as they all darted for the other end of the field to sing the alma mater.
The Eagles had won their first game under Olive, and their 17-8 triumph over Pigeon Forge needed some late-game heroics.
It was Seymour’s first win on its home turf in nearly three years.
