CORRYTON — Unlike “Cotton Eye Joe” in the song they danced to during warmups, the Gibbs softball team doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. The program has had legit lasting power, and that isn’t changing this spring.
So while the back-to-back state champions are in the middle of what some might describe as a rebuilding year with last season’s 5Star Preps Softball Player of the Year Lacey Keck graduating, their season of new faces in new places still comes with the same end goal — a championship.
That build toward the postseason continued Tuesday with a 4-0 home victory over Anderson County.
