CLINTON — Midway through the season, it’s either been one-possession games or 40-plus point blowout wins for the Central football team. Nothing in between.
But Bobcats coach Kevin Lane challenged his team to focus on themselves following Friday’s 48-7 victory at Clinton, not the scoreboard.
It’s true that, just like last season, Central’s offense is humming behind senior quarterback Kaden Long, a 2025 Class 5A Mr. Football finalist.
It’s also true that the competition is going to pick up, as soon as next Thursday in an anticipated matchup against Powell.
