KODAK — After another commanding victory, Seymour coach Caleb Olive reminded his team that no one was there when they were putting in work back in February.
That work in February means the Eagles will still be around in November.
For the first time since 2022, Seymour is going to the playoffs, clinching a spot with Friday’s 41-0 win at Northview Academy.
And it may not just be early November, either. The Eagles have a big opportunity ahead following a week off, hosting Elizabethton for a shot at the second seed in Region 1-4A behind Greeneville.
“We’ve come a long way,” Olive said.
“And everyone sees the success here at the end, but nobody was there when we put in the time and effort and many hours to get to where we are.”
