ALCOA — Alcoa’s baseball team got a lot better in the offseason with the arrival of Myles Cox in December.
Cox, a sophomore right-hander and transfer from Eugene, Oregon, threw a five-hitter Wednesday as the Tornadoes defeated visiting Gibbs 5-2 in a non-district game.
Alcoa coach Steve Dunn said Cox has been a perfect fit for the Tornadoes.
