While allegations that were brought against two of its assistant coaches caused turmoil in May, the West High School football program got another heavy dose of bad news Tuesday afternoon.
Knox County Schools relieved head football coach Lamar Brown of his coaching duties and placed him elsewhere with a job in the the Knox County Schools system.
KCS superintendent Jon Rysewyk alerted the media to this decision during a press conference at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 17.
Rysewyk intimated that West assistant coach Barron Chandler is now in charge of the football team.
