FIRST TEAM
Lacy Young, Webb School of Knoxville, sophomore
The 5Star Preps 2026 Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year, Young’s first-place finish in the Division II-AA state 100-meter dash (11.59 seconds) and in the 200 (24.40 seconds) helped spur Webb to a Division II-AA state team championship. Young won the KIL 100-meter championship, as well.
Jazz Garmer, Webb School of Knoxville, senior
Garmer helped Webb win another Division II-AA state championship, finishing runner-up (4:55.38) in the 1600-meter run and in the 3200 (10:23.48).
Calysta Garmer, Webb School of Knoxville, senior
Garmer played a significant role in the Lady Spartans’ team Division II-AA state championship, posting a first-place finish (4:49.30) in the state 1600, a second-place finish (2:13.82) in the state 800 and third (10:43.93) in the state 3200.
Kayla Underwood, Lakeway Christian Academy, junior
Underwood posted a 5Star Preps area-best, 5-4 mark in the Division II-A state high jump while also finishing fifth in Division II-A state 400, sixth in the state pentathlon and sixth in the long jump.
Maddie Burgin, Maryville, sophomore
Burgin made a big splash at the Class AAA state meeting, placing first (54.56) in the state 400, runner-up (24.51) in the 200 and third in the Class AAA 100 meter at 11.98 seconds.
Chloe Truss, Knoxville Catholic, senior
Truss had three top-three finishes at the TSSAA state meet, claiming a runner-up in the 100 at 11.91 seconds and the 200 (24.74 seconds). She won the KIL Championship in the 200 and 400.
Rebekah Spierdowis, Gibbs, freshman
After finishing runner-up in the 2026 Class AA state pentathlon, Spierdowis got to the Class AA state meet and finished first in the 300 hurdles (43.44), second in the 100 hurdles (14.43) and third (35-6.5) in the triple jump.
Ava Moody, Anderson County, senior
Moody wrapped up her high school career with first-place finishes in the Class AA state meet in the 1600 meter (5:01.68) and the 3200 meter (11:18.06).
Liahna Nave, Elizabethton, junior
Nave performed well, once again, in field events at the Class AA state meet, logging a first-place finish (152-3) in the discus and runner-up (39-7.25) in the shot put.
Charlotte Fowler, Knoxville Catholic, freshman
The ninth-grader performed well in the Division II-AA state meet, finishing state runner-up in both the shot put (39-1) and the discus (120-1). Her 17-5.5 mark in the long jump proved good enough for fifth in Division II-AA.
Malerie Wiseman, Tellico Plains, junior
Wiseman was the 2026 Class A discus champion (126-0) and also took third place in Class A in the shot put.
Jazmyne Blackwell, Alcoa, junior
Blackwell proved to be the Class AA state champion in the 400-meter (56.53) while claiming fourth in the 200-meter dash.
Peyton Edmunds, Farragut, sophomore
Edmunds’ mark of 9-6 in the pole vault gave her the best finish among area 5Star Preps competitors at the TSSAA state meet, regardless of classification. She was the KIL champion in the pole vault, as well.
Mackenzie Eisenberg, Knoxville West, junior
Eisenberg posted a second-place finish (38-2.25) in the Class AAA state triple jump and a third-place finish (5-2) in the Class AAA high jump. Eisenberg won the KIL championship in the high jump and triple jump.

Ana Berkheimer, Hardin Valley Academy, junior, finished fifth in the Class AAA state 3200 and sixth in the 1600.
Caitlin Daniels, Catholic, sophomore, fifth place in Division II-AA state 3200.
Carolina Areheart, Webb School of Knoxville, senior, 4 x 800 state champion, Vanderbilt signee
Simone Romain, Webb School of Knoxville, sophomore, third place in Division II-AA 200-meter dash and fifth in 100-meter dash.
Denice Gaston, Webb School of Knoxville, sophomore, fourth in Division II-AA triple jump.
Gideon Bradford, Webb School of Knoxville, freshman, KIL 800 champion, sixth in the Division II-AA 800-meter dash and seventh in the 400.
Kenzie Allen, Sevier County, junior, finished seventh in the Class AAA state 100-meter dash and eighth in the 200.
Abby Roberts, Grace Christian, junior, sixth place in Division II-A girls 800-meter run.
Josalyn Thompson, Seymour, senior, fourth place (46.03) in Class AA state 300 hurdles.
Iris Morales, Maryville, junior, proved to be one of the 5Star Preps area’s top finishers in the state 300 hurdles (47.48).
Lilly Faulkner, Sevier County, sophomore, low area finisher in the Class AAA state 100-meter hurdles (14.98).
Alexandra Vesser, Hardin Valley Academy, junior, finished fifth in the Class AAA state 1600 and eighth in the 3200.
Emery Adams, CAK, freshman, finished second and third, respectively in the Division II-A 1600 and 3200.
Mary Taylor Many, CAK, senior, third place in Division II-A pole vault.
Camdyn Garland, Elizabethton, senior, finished seventh in Class AA pentathlon, third in long jump, fifth in triple jump.
Naomi Burum, Hardin Valley, senior, finished ninth in the Class AAA state triple jump, KIL champion in long jump.
Abby French, Maryville, junior, tied for the second-best mark (5-2) in the Class AAA high jump.
