ALCOA — Alcoa running back Micah Jones couldn’t repeat what an Anderson County defender told him, but he made his response public.
Jones initially looked swallowed up at the line of scrimmage, then he threw a Maverick defender to the ground, bounced off a couple more and trotted 27 yards to the end zone.
“That was real nice,” Jones told 5StarPreps. “Did the horns down, and told the fans they need to beat the traffic.”
Jones’ touchdown was the final score in a 49-14 rout of Anderson County, clinching the Region 2-4A title and a perfect season for Alcoa (10-0, 7-0 Region 2-4A).
