Greeneville head coach Eddie Spradlen didn’t need some elongated rah-rah speech late in a Class 4A state quarterfinal Friday night, shortly after visiting Anderson County knotted the score with 2 minutes, 18 seconds.
Rather, Spradlen just expressed what he needed to express to the pertinent players.
“Let’s go win the game,” he told them.
Message received, Coach.
Tegan Begley scored on a 26-yard touchdown run some 73 seconds later, and Greeneville chalked up a 28-21 win over rival Anderson County to advance to the state semifinals for the first time since 2023.
