Webb School of Knoxville’s basketball teams clinched region championships Friday night in emphatic fashion, playing lock-down defense against their visiting rivals from Catholic.
In Friday’s opener, the Lady Spartans held Catholic to a season-low point total during a 53-24 victory for the Division II-AA East Region championship.
In the second game, Webb’s boys had a 22-1 third-quarter run on their way to an 86-52 victory over Catholic for their region championship.
Webb’s boys and girls are both 3-0 this season against Catholic.
