If you didn’t have any prior knowledge of the Futon High School soccer team, it would be understandable to see the dominance the Falcons displayed in Thursday’s Region 2-AA Championship Game and think it was old hat.
However, that isn’t the case. At least not yet.
Fulton furthered its transition from a team that’s had a few good years in a row into a soccer program with a 9-0 victory against Gibbs at Tommy Schumpert Park.
With the win, the Falcons (12-6-1) host Greeneville on Saturday in a sectional, looking to return to the Class AA state tournament after qualifying for the first time in school history last year.
