ALCOA — Halle Bailey has seen plenty of Alcoa student-athletes win state championship rings during her four years at the school.
The senior shortstop for the Lady Tornadoes’ softball team wants her own state title ring, and she likes her chances of getting one after reaching the Class 2A state championship game last year.
“I think this is the best team that I’ve been around in any of the years I’ve been here,” Bailey said after Thursday night’s 12-2 five-inning victory over visiting Anderson County.
“I think we can go a long way and hopefully get a ring, for sure.”
