CLINTON — Jordyn Potts was not going to fall short of the end zone.
The Powell senior quarterback is way too competitive to let that happen.
Potts scored on an 8-yard scramble for the game-winning touchdown with five seconds left to lead the visiting Panthers over Clinton on Friday, 29-22, in the Region 3-5A rivalry.
Initially, it looked like Potts had plenty of space to score on the third-down play, but a Clinton defender met him at the goal line. Potts lowered his shoulder and pushed in.
