LOUDON – It was dogpile time Friday night for the Loudon baseball team.
The Redskins were in celebration mode after punching their ticket to next week’s Class AA state tournament in Murfreesboro with a 5-0 sectional victory over Union County.
Senior Braxton Roberts and sophomore Jaxon Walker combined on a two-hitter for Loudon (24-10), which went 1-2 in the 2019 Class AA state tournament.
Roberts and right fielder Kaden Dockins are the only seniors in Friday’s starting lineup who went to state three years ago.
“It feels great,” Roberts said. “Me and Dockins went our freshman year, so it’s definitely awesome to be back.”
