MARYVILLE — Maryville’s softball team had a bounce-back Tuesday on its home field at the John Sevier Elementary School campus.
The Lady Rebels pounded eight hits — including a double, a triple, and two homers — on their way to a 12-7 victory over visiting William Blount in game for first place in the District 2-4A standings.
Maryville needed it after Monday night’s 6-2 loss at William Blount when the Lady Govs’ Trinity Johnson hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the eighth inning.
