SEYMOUR — For The King’s Academy, Friday night was about considerably more than the result of a preseason scrimmage against visiting Harriman. It was another step toward having a football program again.
TKA, which did not field a team in 2025 because of a dearth of players, showed some early rust before finding its footing against the Blue Devils. A balanced offense produced several explosive plays through the passing game while continuing an unsettled competition at quarterback.
“I was excited for the program and the school to have football back out here after a really difficult stretch,” TKA coach Stephen Alexander said. “I think we’re going to get more momentum as we go. But it was definitely a good night.”
