It’s sometimes difficult to gauge team strength from the first preseason scrimmage. Friday night’s Jefferson County-West scrimmage wasn’t one of those times.
Playing as if last year’s state quarterfinal double-overtime loss was still fresh in their minds, West scored the five times it had the ball and took advantage of Jefferson County’s work-in-progress offensive and defensive lines.
No official score was kept, but the Rebels finished with seven touchdowns to JeffCo’s three.
