MURFREESBORO — Two area high school basketball standouts were named TSSAA Miss Basketball on Tuesday evening at a ceremony at MTSU’s Tucker Theater, as Mr. and Miss Basketball winners were unveiled for the 2025-26 season.
Meeyah Green, a Clemson signee and senior guard at Webb School of Knoxville, repeated as Miss Basketball in Division II-AA. She helped Webb win its second consecutive Division II-AA state championship on Saturday in Clarksville.
Maliyah Glasper, a Tennessee Tech signee and senior guard for Gatlinburg-Pittman, won Miss Basketball in Class 2A.

Glasper’s brother Ty, who’s a freshman at Lincoln Memorial now, won Mr. Basketball in 2A last year as a senior.
Maliyah Glasper wanted to match the feat of her sibling.
“I did think I had a chance. I didn’t know how it was all going to play out, but I was definitely confident,” Glasper said of winning. “Definitely, everything he’s done, I’m just trying to do it better.
“I’m in competition with him always. He just pushes me to be a better person, for sure.
As for Green, holding the Miss Basketball trophy put a final punctuation mark on a magnificent month of March. Webb rallied twice last week from double-digit deficits to win back-to-back titles. Green was named tournament MVP once more. And now, Tuesday’s award provided a fitting end to her storied career.
“It means a lot, definitely. All the work I’ve put in,” she said. “Thanks a lot to my family, my coaches, my teammates. They’re the reason this happened. They put so much trust in me.
“But first of all, I thank God. He gave me my abilities.”
Winners were selected based off regular-season performance from the 2025-26 season.
