Lamar Brown, who led the West High School football program to 5A championships in 2022 and 2023, has officially joined the Maryville staff.Murrrrrrville about to go up to a 200 scholarship limit with all dues paid for 😂

I watched West play several times and they were one of the best coached teams in the state of Tennessee. Maryville has picked up a great coach.

I said this a couple of weeks ago that Derek Hunt needed to strike while the iron was hot and go after Lamar Brown. I really hate it for the West High Fans how that got handled. Anyone with a brain knew better except for the guy in charge over there.

BEST COACH AND TEACHER PERIOD. He never once deserved what was being done to him. For the ones saying he was fired 🙄 Know what's been going on, he absolutely wasn't fired. He was transferred. Y'all are so quick to say things about this man but not central office, not the athletic coach nor the principal ALL OF THOSE HAVE THE DUTY TO HIRE, FIRE AND ETC. Why y'all not blaming them any? Still wondering if you did nothing wrong how you were fired in the first place? If he was fired and innocent, everybody involved should be fired! But if he wasn't, then shame on people enabling this. I just find it crazy that he was fired with 0 evidence that he did anything.
