West High’s football team took care of its playoff business Friday night.
Junior receiver Silas Monroe caught three touchdown passes and the Rebels defeated visiting Karns 45-7, clinching a berth in the Class 5A state playoffs.
“It’s a really big game because winning this game puts us in a playoff spot,” Monroe said. “Everyone played well and it was a great game for the team.”
