Powell’s football team didn’t win many style points Thursday night. Just enough points to win a football game.
Junior cornerback Demarcus Huffine Jr. had three interceptions, and the Panthers defeated host West 15-3 in the regular-season finale for both teams.
Powell (8-1, 7-0 in Region 2-5A) had secured the region’s top seeding for the playoffs before Thursday’s game.
That didn’t deter Huffine or the Panthers.
