SEYMOUR — With Elizabethton making a last-ditch effort to spoil Seymour’s biggest night in years, Grayson Davis took matters into his own hands.
The Seymour senior recovered an onside kick and broke two 21-yard runs on the Eagles’ final possession, sealing a 21-16 victory over Elizabethton on Friday and keeping the Eagles’ magical season on track.
For a team that went winless just three seasons ago, the victory represented another remarkable step in its resurgence under coach Caleb Olive.
