NASHVILLE — The TSSAA announced its 2025 Tennessee Titans Mr. Football winners on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at a ceremony at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
High school football coaches and media around the state nominated players, and a select committee of statewide media members picked the semifinalists, finalists and winners based on: regular-season performance, ability, academics and character.
Postseason wins, stats, awards have no bearing on the outcome, as final votes were cast at the end of the regular season.
Locally, Sevier County quarterback Cooper Newman became just the second-ever Mr. Football winner in his school’s program history, joining 2000 Mr. Football Lineman winner Paul Monroe, who signed to play for Tennessee.
In Class 4A, Greeneville senior QB Caden Baugh became the sixth Mr. Football winner in Greene Devils’ program history, its first since 2018 (Cade Ballard).
