William Blount volleyball coach Kendra Swafford shed some tears of joy Thursday night, and it’s no wonder why.
Swafford and the Lady Governors won the District 4-AAA Tournament for the first time in school history with a 3-0 victory over Maryville in the championship at Farragut.
“This program’s been through a lot,” Swafford said, “and we’ve done a really good job of getting to where we’re at now. All the emotions come from excitement and just pure pride from this team.”
